Sports/Community: Zoey and Grandma joined a family yoga class this year and are finding it a lot of fun. She also continued with Miracle League Baseball. This year Zoey’s ability to walk is so much better and she is so much stronger that she walked around the bases by herself with using her walker or wheelchair. She loves seeing her friends each week!

Because of jaw pain Zoey had dental surgery in August at the Children’s Hospital in London to remove the 14 remaining baby teeth. For some reason they would not fall out even though they were all loose. They came out easily and she recovered quickly. The permanent teeth are moving in quickly!
Beads of Courage: over the years Zoey has been collecting Beads of Courage which is a program where she receives a bead to represent each medical procedure and acts of courage. Zoey enjoys knowing that each visit earns her beads. Zoey still has to go in monthly to the hospital to have the port line flushed. She finds this upsetting still but knows she is going to get 2 beads to add to her necklace. She has 8 necklaces so far and she only started collecting at age 4. In the attached photo you can see her wearing 6 of the necklaces.
